Description

The papers of Robert Stein consist of correspondence, photographs and some printed material. The correspondence relates primarily to equipping and manning Stein's proposed 1894 expedition to search for the missing Swedish naturalists Bjorling and Kellstenius and includes correspondence with Bowring Brothers Company and its agent, Thomas N. Molloy of St. John's, Newfoundland, as well as Rudolf Kersting, W.B Morgan, G.B. Borden, W.F. Butler and J.S. Warmbath. The photographs document the first months of Stein's 1899-1901 expedition.
