Three-page lette from Joseph Freiherr von Hammer-Purgstall to George Ticknor, telling him that he was unable to find a certain letter for Mr. Wilde of Georgia. Speaks of his quarrel with Capt. Hale about the Countess of Purgstall. Includes an explanatory note by Ticknor as well as a letter of March 28, 1837 from Hammer-Purgstall to Johann Schön in German.
