The collection of Laurence McKinley Gould contains a diary kept while being second-in- command of the First Byrd Antarctic Expedition (1928-1930). Correspondence with Richard E. Byrd, Robert A. Bartlett, George J. Dufek, Sigrun Nansen and Finn Ronne is also included.
