Description

Three-page letter from Richard Fletcher in Washington to Sylvanus Thayer, telling him that he will see about the matter of appropriations for fortifications. If Thayer has any objections to the amounts for Fort Warren and Fort Independence, please inform writer. Mr. Cambreleng will be opposed to the bill. Should Thayer go to West Point, he must retain the charge of Boston harbor.
