Four-page letter from Nathaniel H. Morrison at Scituate, Massachusetts to Samuel Longfellow, describing his new job as tutor in the High School in Scituate, Mass. He has only one student in astronomy but would like more. Says the town is dull and gives an amusing description of Mr. and Mrs. White, who are important local figures. Mentions some of the books he has been reading.
