Description
Six-page letter from Daniel Webster to [Benjamin Henkle ?] in which Senator Webster declines an invitation to speak to the Convention of Young Men in Indiana. Though he declines the opportunity to speak at the Whig political gathering, he outlines his viewpoints on manufacturing, currency, internal navigation, and the constitution. He strongly endorses Gen. William Harrison as the Whig presidential nominee for the election of 1840.
