Description
The papers of E. Lorne Knight contain volume one of Knight's diary, dated Sept. 14, 1921-Dec. 31, 1922, and a copy of volume two of the diary, dated Jan. 1, 1923-March 23, 1923, as well as a typescript of both volumes. Collection also includes photographs illustrating the condition of the diary, correspondence concerning the defacement of the diary, and correspondence concerning the efforts made by the Fogg Art Museum and the Federal Bureau of Investigation to discover a way to read material on the damaged pages of the diary. Some essays by Knight are also included.
