Description

The collection contains the diary of George W. Rice's experiences as photographer on the Lady Franklin Bay expedition, 1881-1884, as well as eight photographic images of Greenland, Greenlandic peoples, and ice formations in and near Disko taken while Rice was a member of the U. S. scientific expedition of 1880-1881 on board the "Gulnare."
