Three-page letter from John Mussey in New Liberty, Owen County, Kentucky to Nathaniel Tracey Sheafe in Bellows Falls, Vermont, telling him that "times is hard," and that very little realized from natural resources of County. Writer is too poor to write letters and has not gained great reputation as a lawyer. Father and family are in Cincinnati.
