Description
Handwritten fair copy of his sonnet, "Scorn not the sonnet," signed and dated 1843 June 19 at Rydal Mount. Includes a modern calligraphed title page and copy of the poem. The Sangorski and Sutcliffe binding indicates that the manuscript is the original of the sonnet, but the poem was written at least two decades earlier than this manuscript is dated.
