Description

Letter from Daniel Webster in Boston to an unidentified recipient, telling him that he received their kind letter of the 20th. In so short a notice it is out of his power to be in Philadelphi on the 30th. He offers a toast for the Thanksgiving occasion: "The sons of New England, resident in Philadelphia, who neither forget the place of their nativity, nor will be forgotten by us." (Photocopy)
