Description
Three-page letter from Amphion Gates in Boston to Clessrow Gates of Hubbardston, Massachusetts, in which he (a graduate in 1844) describes living in Boston, where he is to teach and go to all the churches, hearing various speakers of the time including Millerites, Mormons, etc. Says Daniel Webster is managing a bank case.
