The Walker Tariff Bill of 1846. The Administration is committed to a tariff for revenue only-believes that the abolition of the Tariff of 1842 is a necessary "reform." To this writer is opposed, as he is opposed to other "reforms" of Mr. Polk. Published in "The National Intelligencer" July 21, 1846.
