Some of the letters are to and from Amy Lovemen who was Thompson's predecessor. The letters are organized in three groups with indices. Material related to the lawsuit filed by Thompson against G.P. Putnam's Sons for misuse of his name and work in the front matter of John Cleland's "Memoirs of a Woman of Pleasure" is also included.
