Description

Collection of letters from various correspondence, among the Lady Jane Franklin, Thomas B. Macaulay, John Kintzing Kane, C.R. Weld and others relating to the preparation of his book, "Voyage of the Prince Albert" or the acknowledging of gift copies. Includes two letters from the personal secretary of Prince Albert Stating that he cannot encourage any further efforts in search of the lost Franklin Arctic expedition. Bound in front of Snow's copy of his "Voyage of the Prince."
