Adolphe Louis de Puibusque letters
Description
Two letters from Adolphe Louis de Puibusque in Quebec and Paris to George Ticknor, telling him that he had been detained at Montreal for two months and that he travelled on the St. Lawrence to see Quebec. Also tells Ticknor that he has a picture of Jacques Cartier for him as well as two letters by William Robertson. He bemoans the fact that Ticknor's book has not yet appeared in a French translation and talks about other literary news.
