Letter from Daniel Webster to Moses Stuart in which Webster sends his thanks to Stuart, a Congregational minister and professor at Andover Theological Seminary (MA), for supporting Webster's Seventh of March (1850) senate speech, which supported fugitive slave legislation that would become part of the Compromise of 1850. Webster then outlines his views on government.
