Edward Everett letter
Collection

Description
Three-page letter from Edward Everett in Boston to Daniel Webster, telling him that he did not understand that the compliment to Mr. Fillmore which writer inserted in his address, at Webster's suggestion, should be retrenched. Feels that a conciliatory course should be followed since Webster and Fillmore both are to rely on Whig support. (Photocopy)
