Four-page letter from A.G. Hasard in New York to Josiah Hale, telling him that he has returned from Baltimore yesterday where he, as a delegate at large, cast 53 votes for Daniel Webster. The convention not the country failed Webster. Mr. Tappan and Thomas Hale have received the writer coldly.
