Description

The collection contains the typescript, with editor's notations of the novel "Whitney and Son" by Inez Lopez, published in 1941. This was Lopez' first novel. The novel tells the story of an iron and steel magnate who returns to his family in the fictonial Southern city of "Seminole" (presumed to be Birmingham, Alabama), after a four-year affair with a mistress in New York.
