Curtis Family papers
Description
The correspondence of the Curtis family contains incoming letters from Henry James, Lady Ritchie, Henry Adams, Mrs. Fannie Browning, Claude Monet, John Singer Sargent and John Addington Symonds, as well as letters written by the Curtis family during the Siege of Paris, 1870-1871. Members of the Curtis family include Daniel S. Curtis, Ariana Wormeley Curtis, Ralph W. Curtis, Mary F. Curtis and Thomas B. Curtis. Two poems by John Addington Symonds, five small ink sketches of soldiers and a Red Cross armband worn by Ralph W. Curtis in 1879, are also included.
