Description
Two-page letter from Benjamin Brown French in Washington to Charles Lanman, sending him a list of Washington officials he compiled including Board of Commissioners, Superintendents and Commissioners of Public Buildings from January 22, 1791 to the present time. Included portrait of B.B. French as well as his New York Times obiturary and a biographical sketch. Also includes excerpt from Charles Lanman's Biographical Annals and excerpts from Register of officers and agents...in the service of the United States.
