Rauner phonodisc collection
Description
Collection of phonograph records (phonodiscs) held by Rauner Special Collections at Dartmouth College. Most records relate to the history of Dartmouth College and its faculty, staff, and students. Some audio recordings relate to the Upper Valley Region of the Connecticut River, New Hampshire and Vermont. The collection contains many phonograph (vinyl and shellac) records of varying sizes and colors, including many which were cut on-site and outside of the factory stamping process (also known as transcription discs, acetates, or reference acetates).
