Description

The collection contains the correspondence of the Drake family concerning daily life and activities. Of particular importance are the letters of "Colonel" James Drake and his wife Betsy to their son Frank while the latter was a student at Dartmouth College. In addition, letters of Georgianna Drake Carpenter (1836-1932) to her daughter Georgia (1859-1889) while the latter was a student in Paris, France can also be found in this collection. Other correspondents include Nathaniel Seavey Drake (1851-1936).
