Elizabeth Morrison Hunter, wife of Donald Morrison, Dean of the Faculty 1947-1955. Oral history interview on the initial hiring of John Kemeny to join the Mathematics department at Dartmouth, and the impact that John Kemeny had on Dartmouth College, such as improving teaching, emphasizing research and improving Dartmouth’s academic reputation, as well as instigating the BASICS computer program. Morrison Hunter also talks about John Sloan Dickey and his contribution to the college, and briefly about the state of Dartmouth College in 2003.
