Description

Thomas Roos, Professor of Biology, Emeritus, Dartmouth College. Oral History interview documenting the introduction of computers to Dartmouth College, and the resistance he encountered from some of his senior faculty. Roos also discusses the balance between faculty’s teaching and research, as well as his role as the faculty advisor to the Native American students on campus, and his fight to continue the support network for them despite opposition from the trustees. Finally, Roos documents the debate on the question of full female integration into the college, and the state of scholarship in the United States.
