Description
The collection contains the Civil War diary of Hiram Gregg, a member of Company F, 16th New Hampshire Regiment, for the year 1863. Includes day-by-day entries until he is discharged on 24 June 1863. Entries continue at his home in Goshen, New Hampshire. The Civil War portion contains references to New Orleans as well as the siege of Port Hudson. Includes a 16th Regiment ribbon, his hat cord, and notes on his diary.
