Description
The papers of Luigi Palma Di Cesnola contain correspondence with Hiram Hitchcock and others, biographical information, pamphlets, periodicals as well as clippings related to his Cyprus Archaeological Collection, which he created while American Consul in that country, and letters related to his Civil War career. Material relating to the lawsuit in which he became involved when the authenticity of his artifacts was questioned by Gaston L. Feuardent, as well as an uncorrected galley for McFadden's book, "The Glitter and the Gold" are also included.
