Description
This collection contains 37 letters written by Hanover resident Kimball A. Whipple to his wife, Dorothea F. Whipple, while serving in the U.S. Navy in World War II. The letters document Whipple's daily life as Chief Carpenter's Mate in a naval construction battalion maintenance unit while training at Camp Peary, Virginia and Camp Parks and Camp Rousseau, California.
