Description
The papers of John Goodrich Henry contain letters to his wife, while serving as a physician in Ely and West Fairlee, Vermont. Includes a description of the strike and riots at the Vermont Copper Mining Company in 1883. Collection also includes photographs of Henry and his wife, Lola Manser Henry, and an article (unpublished?) by Ruth Henry Hubbard entitled "Pills, pukes, and poultices : a doctor's eyeview of life in a small Vermont village in the early 1880s."
