Katharine Wormeley correspondence
Description
The collection contains correspondence correspondence with Roberts Brothers, her Boston publisher, concerning the translations she was doing of Molière, Balzac, Saint-Simon, Sainte-Beuve and Sand. The correspondence contains discussion and comments upon French literature and the problems of translation. Several checks and two letters, on the preservation of White Mountains forests are also included. Of note is her description of her relationship with her with her brother-in-law, Daniel Sargent Curtis.
