Description
Indenture of lease between the Dartmouth College Trustees and John Burnap of Norwich, Vermont. Per the agreement, Burnap agreed to give the Trustees 20 pounds in return for the right to operate a ferry over the Connecticut River between the College and John Sargeant's land in Norwich from the date of the indenture until January 1, 1783. Witnessed by Bezaleel Woodward, Secretary to the Trustees. Signed by Eleazar Wheelock and [Thomas Hazen?].
