Charles Thompson papers
Description
The papers of Charles H. Thompson include correspondence, autographs, clippings and ephemera. His correspondence covers primarily the time period of his association with the National Progressive Party and included letter from Theodore Roosevelt as well as governors of states, members of Congress, chairmen of Congressional committees and cabinet members. Letters to Ruth Noyes Thompson, his wife, and to Leila Elizabeth Thompson, their daughter are also included. In addition the collection contains the signature book of Ruth Thompson, letters collected by her for their signatures as well as cut signatures and newspaper clippings. Of note is a letter from Rudyard Kipling.
