Sidney Cox papers
Description
The papers of Sidney Cox contain family and personal correspondence as well as writings, diaries, journals, photographs and personal records related to his career as a teacher and writer. Family correspondents include his parents Arthur Elmes Cox and Elisabeth Hayes Cox, his sister Gertrude Cox, Alice Ray Cox, Arthur Macy Cox and Barbara Alden Cox. Personal correspondents include Melville H. Cane, John Sloane Dickey, Ernest Martin Hopkins, J. Milton French, John Vincent Kelleher, and Leo Spitzer. The collection also includes the typescript of Cox's book "A Swinger of Birches" as well as other writings about Robert Frost who was a personal friend.
