Basil O'Connor papers
Description
The papers of Basil O' Connor contain primarily Dartmouth College related correspondence as well as more than 250 photo portraits of alumni. Included are letters from friends and classmates, some relating to their wartime activities as well as letters pertaining to O'Connor's activities as an alumnus, including his work in planning and organizing the reunions of the Class of 1912, his work as Acting Secretary of the Class, his work as a member of the Class of 1912 Executive Committee and the Alumni Council as well as his involvement with the Dartmouth Medical School, the Dartmouth Eye Institute, and St. Denis Church in Hanover. Letters regarding O'Connor's personal library of Dartmouth-related materials, the Dartmouth College libraries, and the Friends of the Library are also included. The small amount of non-Dartmouth material includes a bound volume of correspondence and clippings from the law firm of Roosevelt and O'Connor and some Red Cross correspondence.
