Description

The collection contains the handwritten manuscript of "Country Relics" by H. J. Massingham with author's notations and corrections. The book was published as "Country relics: An account of some old tools and properties once belonging to English craftsmen and husbandmen saved from destruction and now described with their users and stories." The manuscript for Massingham's book "London Scene" as well as a letter from Massingham to Harold Rugg in regard to the library's request for the manuscript are also included.
