Description

The papers of Samuel French Morse contain letters to Morse from William Carlos Williams, Theodore Roethke, Marianne Moore, John Berryman, E.E. Cummings, Elizabeth Bishop, Sara Orne Jewitt and other prominent poets. A portion of the letters originated with Morse's work on "Twentieth Century Verse." Printed copies of his poetry and one typescript entitled "Time of Year" are also included. The material documents Morse's life as a poet.
