Thomas E.F. McNamara forgeries collection
Description
The collection contains the framed examples of Thomas E.F. McNamara's forgeries of Robert Frost's "The Minor Bird" and "A Year of Leaves," and of Langston Hughs' "Boy Playing with a Flute." Each forgery is certified as original by McNamara and stamped as a forgery and as property of the United States by Postal inspectors. The documents were used as evidence in the trial, U.S. vs. McNamara.
