Description

The collection contains a photographic album of arctic scenes. Includes images of ships, walrus hunting, whaling, sailors' portraits, poses in animal furs, sledges, encampments, and Muskoxen. The album documents the 1908-1909 North Polar Expedition under the direction of Robert E. Peary. Borup was an assistant aboard the S.S. "Roosevelt." The photographer was Donald B. MacMillan.
