Description
The papers of Anne Morrison Gentry Smyth contain correspondence, last dictations of Robert Frost and notes on Frost's conversations while hospitalized, documents relating to Ezra Pound, notes on hospital staff attending Robert Frost, childhood drawings of Anne Morrison Gentry Smyth, "A Robert Frost Folio," a program of a symposium "The Future of Man," a Bulletin of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, a list of guests invited to Robert Frost's 88th birthday party, and photocopies of letters and poems from Robert Frost.
Of note are manuscript notes taken by Smyth in January 1963 about the conversations of Robert Frost while the poet was hospitalized at the end of his life; the notes include a conversation with Princess Mary de Rachewiltz, the daughter of poet Ezra Pound. Frost's dictations of a few incomplete poems are also included in Smyth's notes.

Anne Morrison Gentry Smyth (b. 1937), daughter of Kathleen Morrison, who was secretary-manager of the poet Robert Frost. The papers document Smyth's relationship with Frost, particularly during the last days of the poet's life in January 1963.
