Description

The papers of Alexander McKee contain scrapbooks with correspondence and research notes for his book "Ice Crash" (1979) which recounts the story of the airship "Italia" commanded by Umberto Nobile. Included is correspondence with Gertrude Nobile, as well as others who were involved in the rescue mission. Book reviews, newspaper clippings and some correspondence relating to McKee's book "Into the Blue," (1982) are also included.
