The collection of Gitel P. Steed contains carbon typescripts of notes on thirty seven interviews she conducted with Niels Rasmussen in 1947. Rasmussen is a Danish film maker who had lived in Greenland from 1939 to 1945. In the interviews he details life, language, and customs of the Greenland natives as well as current affairs in Greenland.
