The collection contains sermons by Henry Woodward, some with Brahamic translations, including "My First Tamil Sermon" (1820). An essay entitled "Thoughts of a Sermon at my settlement at Battacottar" is also included. Some of the sermons were delivered at the mission in Ceylon.
