Description
The Records of the Department of Native American Studies (NAS) consist primarily of letters of recommendation and correspondence pertaining to fellowships, faculty, and related academia. It documents some of the function of the department since its inseption in 1972 through 1997. The records also contain materials relating to the death and memorial services of Michael Dorris, first Chair of the Native American Studies Program, in 1997.
