Description
The collection contains drafts and galleys of 'The Broken Cord," "Yellow Raft in Blue Water" and "The Crown of Columbus," by Michael Dorris. Also contains materials related to fetal alcohol syndrome, correspondence related to his books and to the television adaptation of "Broken Cord." Additionally, the papers include letters to Dorris' mother and aunt, notes, papers concerning Dorris' teaching career at Dartmouth College and some correspondence with Louise Erdrich.

Intellectual Control Notes: Rec'd Sep 2004 Boxes 1-4 were UP-260 boxes 5-7 were sent back from Louise Erdich 8/2011 (part of earlier accession ??); First accession of several that will eventually total to 25 boxes - Hazen R. Allen. As of Jan 2017 no more material has come from Erdich.
