Description

The papers of Stephen D. Geller consists of his writings, other professional documents, correspondence, personal materials, and photographs. The papers document Geller’s career as a film and television script writer, playwright, and novelist, as well as his interests in magazine and non-fiction writing. Geller's writings, often including multiple drafts, comprise the bulk of the material.

The papers contain a number of screenplays written by Geller for films such as “Slaughterhouse Five,” “Valachi Papers," and "Ashanti," as well as his teleplay for "Warburg: A Man of Influence." They also contain his novels, including "Gad," Joop's Dance," "Pit Bull," and "She Let Him Continue." Plays and short stories include those he wrote while at Dartmouth. Legal materials document his involvement in a set of age discrimination lawsuits brought by TV writers in the early to mid 2000s.
