Richard Allenby papers
Description
The papers of Richard Allenby contain photographs, mission reports, technical reports, transparencies, illustrations, writings, press material and maps related to NASA's programs of satellite weather exploration (Nimbus, ESSA, and Tiros), Lunar Orbiters, Surveyor, and Rangers satellites as well as the Gemini and Apollo moon missions. The material focuses primarily on lunar photography and of photography in and from space including synoptic weather photography. Some early photographs of Mars taken by the Mariner Satellites are also included.
