Mary Ann Hayward papers
Description
The collection contains 9 cassette tapes as well as 5 photographs and 3 letters relating to an oral history project focused on the life of Alice Van Leer Carrick, author and wife of Dartmouth professor Ord Skinner. The interviews on the tapes were recorded in 1981 by Hayward in Hanover, NH of those who remembered Alice. The interviews were conducted as part of her thesis for the Masters of Liberal Studies program at Dartmouth. Interviews are with Margaret Skinner Harcourt, Alisha Skinner, Dorothy Brackett, Ralph Hunter, Befield Pressey, Slice Pollard and Jo Peische. Photographs are of Ord and Alice Skinner.
