1 notebook containing 10 memoranda related to the Webster-Ashburton treaty of 1842. Written for Lord Ashburton by a Canadian official, A. Wells, the memoranda lays out the British position on the controversial boundary between Quebec and the states of New York, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine.
