Description
The papers of Rudolph Ruzicka contain correspondence, photographs, scrapbooks, financial records, appointment calendars, manuscripts and personal documents related to his career as a typeface designer and engraver. Correspondents include Andrew Wyeth, Paul A. Bennett, Earle Brewster, William A. Dwiggins, Philip Hofer, H.W. Kent, Edward Connery Lathem, Van Wyck Brooks, Walter Muir Whitehill, D.B. Updike, L.H. Butterfield, Ted Chapman, Warren Chappell and Will Carter. Typescripts, galley proofs and layouts for "Thomas Bewick, Engraver," "Postscripts on Dwiggins, Essays & Recollection" by Paul A. Bennet and announcement for his Linotype face "Fairfield" are also included. The collection also contains a set of some small hand chisels, woodblocks, and printing ephemera.

The collections contains correspondence, photographs, scrapbooks, financial records, appointment calendars, manuscripts, galley proofs, personal documents, hand chisels, woodblocks and printing ephemera related to his design of the "Fairfield" linotype face and his work as an engraver and designer.
